Do I need an account to use Untilt?–

No. Untilt never asks for an email, phone number, or password. You create or join a group with a private link and start splitting immediately.

How does syncing work without a server?+

Your group's activity is stored as an encrypted event log that syncs through the shared invite link. There is no central account holding your data.

Is my data private?+

Yes. Everything is end-to-end encrypted and the key lives inside your invite link, so only people you share it with can read the group.

Does Untilt work offline?+

Yes. You can add and split expenses with no connection; changes queue on your device and upload automatically when you're back online.

Can I split expenses in different currencies?+

Yes. Enter an amount in any currency and Untilt converts it to your home currency at an editable rate, keeping both figures in sync.
